03 - Military Standards and Handbooks
Keywords: Best Practices ; Handbook ; Information exchange ; Specification ; Standard
Introduction
This chapter introduces a list of Military documents useful in Industrial Product Design. Designing a product while using military specifications is a good way to get extremely high quality goods.
Compliance to Military Standards is absolutely not mandatory for a mass market product, anyway if the relevant standard requirements is reachable for an acceptable overcost, the product will be ranked at the highest level by the market. In term of value analysis Mil-Std's are a good deal.
This list is organized in sections. Each sections give a short explanation on available standards and handbooks concerning the specific application domain.
Sections:
To do
Note: Some folders contain a "to do" section. These sections have have been inserted to show how the upgrading and updating job is performed.
